Emergency First Aid at Work
1 day (6 hour) classroom based course for up to 12 delegates
This is the bonkers emergency stuff - in this course we concentrate on giving your team the ability to confidently identify alarm bells and quickly decide how to act. Pick this course for a quick fix qualification; go for the 3 day option if you want your delegates to have a more in depth understanding of First Aid as a whole. As with the FAW course detailed above, my course meets and exceeds the HSE guidelines set out below

On completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:
understand the role of the first-aider, including reference to:
–the importance of preventing cross infection;
–the need for recording incidents and actions;
–use of available equipment;
assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and
effectively in an emergency;
-administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure);
-administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator;
-administer first aid to a casualty who is choking;
-administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding;
-administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock;
provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters).
